Blood Mountain is the highest point on the Appalachian Trail in Georgia.
I decided to drop in for a quick hike today. It was beautiful. Perfect weather – 55 degrees and sunny.
I started at Neels Gap and hiked the 4.8 mile round trip to the top of the mountain. A lot of my photos are backlit because of the time of day, but I thought I would share a few anyway.

There were little areas with some snow, even though it was almost 60 degrees. There was even a snowman!
